How exactly does a Skena card work?

Skena cards use embedded NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Tap your card against any modern smartphone and your customized digital profile or contact card loads instantly. We also include a QR code on the back for older devices without NFC.

Does the other person need an app to receive my details?

No. The experience is completely seamless — your profile or contact file opens directly in their native browser (Safari, Chrome) instantly upon tapping or scanning.

Pricing & Subscriptions

How does the pricing structure work?

We separate hardware from software. The physical cards are a one-time purchase. To host dynamic profiles, capture leads, and use analytics, you need a software subscription, billed annually.

Do all cards require an annual subscription?

No — only Dynamic Cards (which host your online profile) require one. Static Contact Cards and Google Review Cards have zero ongoing fees; they're a strict one-time purchase.

Can I pay monthly instead of annually?

Software subscriptions are billed annually only, to keep the service simple and uninterrupted. We don't currently offer monthly plans.

How do I design the physical look of my card?

Once you confirm your package with us on WhatsApp, our team will connect with you directly. You'll share your logo and branding, and we'll send you digital proofs for approval before manufacturing.

How long does delivery take?

Once you approve the digital proof, manufacturing and local delivery within Kenya typically takes 2 to 4 business days.
