How exactly does a Skena card work?
Skena cards utilize embedded NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Simply tap your card against any modern smartphone, and your customized digital profile or contact card will instantly load on their screen. We also include a custom QR code on the back of the card for older devices without NFC.
Does the other person need an app to receive my details?
No, absolutely not. The Skena experience is completely seamless. Your profile or contact file opens directly in their native smartphone browser (like Safari or Chrome) instantly upon tapping or scanning.
Pricing & Subscriptions
How does the new pricing structure work?
We separate hardware from software. The physical cards (Hardware) are a one-time purchase. To host dynamic profiles, capture leads, and utilize analytics, you require a software subscription, which is billed annually.
Do all cards require an annual software subscription?
No. Only Dynamic Cards (which host your online portfolio) require an annual subscription. If you purchase a Static Contact Card or a Google Review Card, there are zero ongoing hosting fees—it is a strict one-time purchase.
Can I pay monthly instead of annually?
To ensure uninterrupted service and streamline our premium offerings, Skena software subscriptions are exclusively billed on an annual basis. We no longer offer monthly payment plans.
Can I link multiple physical cards to one profile?
Yes! This is the Skena Advantage. Your subscription covers your digital profile. You can purchase unlimited hardware cards and link them all to a single subscribed profile at no additional software cost. This is highly recommended for teams and corporate clients.
Orders & Customization
How do I design the physical look of my card?
After you finalize your package on our Checkout page and submit via WhatsApp, our dedicated design concierge will connect with you. You will provide your logo and branding guidelines, and we will send digital proofs for your approval before manufacturing.
How long does delivery take?
Once you approve the digital proof of your card design, manufacturing and local delivery within Kenya typically take between 2 to 4 business days.
